Collection includes correspondence, writings, testimony before federal committees, conference papers, and talks on breast cancer. Minutes, correspondence, and reports document her service on the National Cancer Advisory Board (1980-1986) and its task forces including the Low Fat Cancer Trials and the Women's Health Trials. Also included is a study of silicone breast implants and of women, like Kushner, who had taken DES (diethylstilbestrol) during pregnancy.

Rose Rehert Kushner (June 22, 1929 – January 7, 1990) was an American journalist and pioneering advocate for breast cancer patients. She wrote the 1975 book Why Me?
